Each BASTET piece is unique, handcrafted in BASTET studio in Athens, so your actual jewelry may slightly differ from the one in the picture. There may be minor differences between pieces of the same style but that is what makes them special. No two handcrafted items can be exactly alike. This means that every handcrafted item you purchase is one-of-a-kind!

MATERIALS & CARE

SILVER 925 & BRASS

The more you wear your jewelry the brighter they remain!

However, all silver 925 or brass jewelry will gradually become darker in color or loose their brightness. This tarnishing is a natural process that happens because the jewelry gets exposed in the air, in the water/humidity or even because of the contact with our skin and natural PH.

It is highly recommend to not wear your jewelry when you sleep, swim or practice sports and always avoid contact between jewelry and perfume or make-up. Please keep your jewelry away from chemicals – the damage can be irreversible.

Always keep your jewelry separately and in its original packaging when not in use, to avoid damages or scratches.

GOLD AND GOLD PLATING

It’s no secret that gold mining has consequences with a long tradition of harming people and the environment. The gold mining industry is rife with humans rights violations, such as child labor, exploitation of vulnerable people, contaminating drinking water, displacing communities, and even funding conflict. In respect of human rights and mother nature, BASTET studio does not generally produces any gold or gold plated pieces. In the extremely rare but special occasions of gold or gold plated pieces production by BASTET studio, the gold used is strictly recycled and the production is always limited to a few pieces.

STONES AND CRYSTALS

Mineral crystals, gemstones and Swarovski Crystals are used to adorn some of the BASTET handcrafted pieces.

GEMSTONES & MINERAL CRYSTALS

All gemstones and mineral crystals used to adorn BASTET jewelry pieces are natural. This means that they will vary slightly in color, pattern or size and will not be identical to the one you see in the picture. Due to the finesse of the material, if handled with extreme force or dropped on a hard surface, such as concrete, it is possible that the stone or the crystal could be damaged.

I recommend you store your jewelry separately and in its original packaging to avoid damages or scratches.

SWAROVSKI CRYSTALS

All the Swarovski Crystals used to adorn BASTET jewelry pieces are 1st quality. Due to the finesse of the material, if handled with extreme force or dropped on a hard surface it is possible that the crystal could be damaged.

Please keep your jewelry away from moisture or chemicals and store each piece separately in its original packaging to avoid damages and scratches.

OTHER MATERIALS

From time to time BASTET studio produces limited edition handmade collections with jewelry pieces created entirely from reclaimed, up-cycled, pre-owned and dead stock items. These items may be stainless steel, brass, zamak, glass, crystals, ceramics, leather, cotton, pearls and wood vintage components or ornaments, reclaimed, creatively reworked and reused to produce beautiful, original and above all responsible jewelry pieces of great quality and artistic value.

RETOUCH & REPAIRS

NATURAL DAMAGE

With every purchase from BASTET studio, you will receive a FREE GLOW card – a complimentary service designed to help you care for your jewelry. The card entitles you to one free professional cleaning and polishing of your BASTET piece, ensuring it regains its original shine. Simple present your card at BASTET studio to redeem the service within 6 months of purchase.

After the 6-months complimentary period, BASTET offers professional cleaning and polishing services at the studio, available by appointment and with a service fee.

Please contact BASTET studio at info@bastet.gr and if possible in your e-mail include a photo of the piece showing the damages. Before we proceed you will receive a medical care budget including expenses for your approval.

Please keep in mind that this service applies to BASTET pieces only.

The service does not apply to archive pieces, sample pieces and pieces on sale.

OTHER DAMAGE

In case of damage due to use (e.g. broken pieces, lost components etc.) please contact BASTET studio at info@bastet.gr and if possible in your e-mail include a photo of the piece showing the damages. Before we proceed you will receive a medical care budget including the cost of any replacement pieces and shipping expenses for your approval.

FAULTY PRODUCT

All BASTET jewelry pieces are handcrafted in BASTET studio and are thoroughly inspected to make sure that they are in excellent condition. However, in the unfortunate case that defect occurs please contact BASTET studio at info@bastet.gr within 48 hours following to the reception of your order. Please in your e-mail include a photo of the piece showing the faults. BASTET studio will gladly collect the faulty piece and exchange it for another.

IMPORTANT NOTE

BASTET studio is not responsible for damage during delivery.

BASTET original packaging is made to protect your piece during transit. Handcrafted and handmade jewelry pieces are more delicate when they are being shipped or moved around. For this reason they are prepared very carefully for shipping.
